At the foot of Piton Grande-Anse, Grande-Anse beach is a magnificent place, one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, wild and authentic. A place where the power of the volcanic rock and the force of the waves combine with the beauty of Reunion's traditions. It's an ideal spot for a family picnic, thanks to the stone fireplaces set out for grilling, or for sunbathing on the beach with its natural pool (bassin) or simply on the grass beside the palm trees. There are also snack bars where you can sample Réunionese specialities, as well as adapted toilets and parking spaces. For the more adventurous, there's a short walk up the Piton Grand Anse for an impressive view of Grand Anse beach from above.
