Afternoon: Visit of the Langevin waterfall. Located in the Wild South, the Langevin waterfall or Grand Galet waterfall is composed of multiple waterfalls stretching over the same rock face, and diving into a large deep pool with clear blue water. Here we can swim, canyoning and picnic.
Day 2: Day in Grand Bassin
After breakfast, we will go to our accommodation in La Plaine des Palmistes.
Then we go to the parking lot overlooking the tiny village of Grand Bassin. From here we will make the superb descent to this Creole village, out of time.

This atypical islet can only be reached on foot, via a path of almost 4.5 km.
A refreshing dip at the foot of the waterfall is a much-appreciated reward. The Grand Bassin Valley is home to many endemic bird species, including the Papangue, pink-billed, tec-tec, and Oiseau la Vierge, and the Bourbon black petrel, which is classified as an endangered species.
We’ll have lunch there before we go back to the parking lot.
We will spend the night in a cottage in La Plaine des Palmistes.
